Neither would I. As for revelation, it did nothing more than attempt to remind the Faithful of their primary duty and purpose, something which was not anything new at all, but has always been the very heart and essence of the Catholic Faith itself.

It was neither private, nor the revelation of any new doctrine. It was a public warning that has been, for the most part, largely ignored.

Except that the consecration of Russia has twisted certain segments of the Church into knots, and has allowed a more nefarious offshoot to materially profit from maintaining a checklist that it has used to chastise Pius XII, John XXIII, Paul VI, and John Paul II because they have not fulfilled the letter of some proclamation.

If this is really "nothing new at all," why don't the Grunerites bag their high dudgeon over the consecration of Russia?

Surely Pius XII's consecration of the entire world to the Immaculate Heart is sufficient!

The quibbling is akin to Mary saying to Jesus "Go out and mow our yard." So Jesus goes out and mows every yard in the neighborhood, and comes back and informs His mother.

And the Grunerite Mary would say "But I only told you to mow OUR yard!"
