It's not slander, it's fact. Ask Madrid, Vere or Soyna.

You have made the accusation! You bear the burden of proof. So far, YOU have produced not one shred of evidence to support it. Bearing false witness is a MORTAL SIN.

Mortal Sins*

This examination of conscience is not intended merely as a checklist to be used prior to confession. The purpose of this examination is to help souls to know what actions or attitudes are sinful and the gravity of the particular sin. The hope is that this knowledge will serve to keep people from committing these sins.

* Three things are necessary for a sin to be mortal: 1. Serious matter (things listed on this sheet); 2. Knowledge or firm belief that the act is seriously wrong prior to committing the act; 3. Full consent of the will.
All three of these conditions must be present simultaneously for a sin to be mortal. This means that if you did not know the act was seriously wrong, then you are not guilty of having committed a mortal sin. If you did not will the act, e.g., if you were forced or if it was in a dream, you are not guilty of having committed a mortal sin. All mortal sins committed since your last confession must be confessed by both type and number, i.e., the title of the sin and how many times it was done. If there is a mortal sin from the past that was forgotten and has not been confessed, it should be confessed at your next confession. It is not necessary to confess venial sins, but it is a good and pious practice.

8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
- False witness (not under oath) or perjury (under oath)
-Telling large or premeditated lies
- Serious gossip, detraction (revealing the faults of another without serious reason), or calumny (harming the reputation of another by falsities)
- Violation of a confidence without good reason
- Being an accomplice to another's grave sin

Examination of Conscience

For one who advocates the need to restore sound catholic doctrine, it is simply amazing that you would use this forum to air your own sins.

You have made the accusation!

And I stand by it. And I don't care if you, or Pete Vere, think I'm in a state a mortal of sin.

Everything you said here applies to anyone who falsely accuses another Catholic of being outside the Church when they may not be.

Think about that for a while.

Like I always say, a lot of NeoCatholics are just guilty of the very things they accuse traditional Catholics of.

It is not necessary to confess venial sins.

Pure BS.

Look, NYer, you are attacking a fellow freeper for simply repeating public knowledge. Self-promoters like Vere are always ready to tell you all about their past life. Several times in the past I have posted links to Vere's blog where he talks about his current lifestyle that is far from saintly. He has written many times about the debt he owes to the homosexual ex-priest who perhaps did more than anyone else to destroy the Catholic Mass.

Here is a concrete example: homosexual rapist ex-priest Fr. Huels not only taught Peter Vere everything he knows about canon law, he also pioneered the canon law practice of "making a path by walking on it." That means that you do something first, and get permission later. If everyone in the US and/or Canada is using altar girls and distributing communion in the hand, then sooner or later canon law will catch up with the practice and approve of what's being done. Huels travelled around the United States as the single most influential "liturgist" promoting precisely these practices. Meanwhile back at the rectory, he was perpetrating homosexual attacks on innocent young novices to his Servite order.

So this is the background and training that Vere represents when he writes a book like "More Catholic than the Pope." This is the factual history. Your attacks on a fellow freeper like Land of the Irish are not going to change the reality of that history.
