Seems he also has at least a problem with the paraphrases.
God is able to keep His word pure and has, in the King James Bible.

I'm grieved that you can swallow the false notion that the KJV [which I love and was reared on]
is flawless. It's NOT flawless.
In some key respects, it's not even more flawless than some of the modern paraphrases. But I'm really loathe to carry the KJV debate any further. There appears to be little 'objective reality' available in that debate.

Potential compromise always lurks in changes in the way the message is presented. Potential growth in the number of people that hear the actual message also lurks in the way the message is presented. I think Luther did the right thing.
