I believe you are sincere in your approach to PDL.
How much more are we supposed to lower Christian Standards in order to draw people to the Church.
There are people out there who read PDL and never attend Church at all.How do you change them into meat and potatoes?
For this reason the starting point must be the Bible and not the PDL.

(Acts4:32)

Life of the Christians
The community of believers were of one heart and one mind.None of them ever claimed anything as his own;rather, everything was held in common.

What silly nonsense!

The STARTING POINT WITH PDL

IS

SCRIPTURE.

Seems obvious to me.

Sorry you missed it.

I use that scripture to point out to people that the early Christian church was among the first communists. Even they failed at it. It ignores human nature - even Christian humans. Like the old bumper sticker says, Christians are not perfect, just forgiven.

All of our attempts are flawed, even PDL. But there's nothing wrong with TRYING to please God. After all, it is completely irrelevant to salvation. 8^>
