I have an aquantance who is a Christian counselor in Memphis (or is it Nashville - wherever the CCM capital is). He is very much into the CCM scene and has counseled quite a few of the "stars". His reports of the type of lifestyles that many CCM stars lead is very discouraging...

... rampant drug and alchohol abuse, adultery, homosexuality etc.i've often wondered how much of that exists (as a percentage of the sample population) among those who play "Acceptable" forms of Religious music.
It has always bothered me that the sins of a Michael English, or Amy Grant/Chapman/Gill, yet the sins of a Jimmy Swaggart, or Sandi Patti, or Richard Roberts and Patty Roberts/Thompson are glossed over. It appears as if there is a double standard in effect somewhere.
