Maida still doesn't get it. Offering a Traditional Mass sporadically is not going to draw the laity back from the "schismatic" chapels where people can experience a full parish life with traditional sacraments while *gasp* catechizing their children in traditional Catholicism.

I never knew about "Independent Catholic" churches until someone told me about this school. I was assisting in CCD and was appalled at what they were teaching in 1st Grade (God is Great and not a single prayer). I decided to have my daughter do penmanship by copying Baltimore Catechism. I needed a copy so I went to the bookstore connected to this church. The school was packed full as was the seminary there. They had real nuns! The girls were in below the knee skirts and the boy had ties.

Later I went to a Latin mass at the church. It was also packed. They could have 12 masses on Sunday and every one of them would be full. That is North of Detroit. South of Detroit there is another very full "Independent" church. Or as the article states, it's just a hop to Windsor.

The Cardinal had to do something.
