Thank you for those excellent words of St. Vincent de Paul. We traditional Catholics need to keep this advice especially in mind, as gentleness and kindness are not always our best traits.
I fear, now that this Mass has been suppressed at St. Mary's, that there will be an angry reaction, and all sorts of vitriol will be directed at the bishop. We MUST pray for patience and charity, and refrain from angry words. If we give in to this temptation to anger, it is certain that this Mass will never be permitted again at St. Mary's. The folks at the chancery would just sit back and say, "See, we told you this Mass was divisive!"
There are always a few people who tend to ruin things, by their colossal lack of tact and thoughtfulness, not to mention their quickness to wrath. I hope that they will remember these words of St. James from yesterday's Epistle, "and let every man be swift to hear, but slow to speak, and slow to anger. For the anger of man works not the justice of God."
