When last in Venice, I visited the Greek Orthodox complex whose center is the cathedral of San Giorgio dei Greci. At the Istituto Ellenico di Studi Bizantini e Postbizantini di Venezia, I found a fine poster with this image, which now hangs on my kitchen wall:

I have a copy of this same image affixed to wood. When you open the front door of my house in Brisbane, it is the first thing you see. A Byzantine-rite priest had suggested I do that if I was living in an area infested with unbelievers and witches. Of late, I have begun giving little images of St. George to everyone -- from kitchen magnets to a very nicely carved stone St. George for my son to place outside above the front door of the new house he is building for his family.
