Now we KNOW all the abuses are not coming from the Vatican. *ahem*
This one is:
Girls or women may also be admitted to this service of the altar, at the discretion of the diocesan Bishop and in observance of the established norms.
Now, in the grand scheme of things, it might not seem like much of a problem, but consider that things like this usually lead to other abuses, and to dissent (like the push for the ordination of women).

I didn't say none of the abuses, just not all of them.
Funny thing - the last Mass I attended that Archbishop Burke said there were five boys serving.

Maybe I have spent too many years watching liberals maintain plausible deniability while doing the opposite of what they wish to claim, but IMO this document should have said, "You shall NOT, under pain of immediate excommunication, no explanations, no second chances. You WILL knock off the crapola or you'll be out of the Church so fast your KY won't catch up with you for a week."
Anything less looks to me like nothing more than maintaining plausible deniability.
"Oh, you shouldn't do this, unless you decide to, wink wink."
And to see them come right out and reaffirm the heretical practice of women in the sacristy is enough to take the heart right out of a person.
Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio. Contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium. Imperit illi Deus, suplices deprecamur. Tuque, princeps militiae caelestis, Satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo, divina virtute in infernum detrude. Amen.
