I said elder (presbuteros) / bishop (episkpos).

Does John Paul II or Cardinals Kaspar, Mahomy or Ratzinger meet this qualification? They all take the title bishop.

Doe they have children who believe? That is another qualification?

Interesting. (Still a non-sequiter, but interesting.) The Catholic and Orthodox view is that a PRIEST may be a married man (and ALWAYS a man), but a Bishop cannot be. You argue (if I understand you) that a Bishop MUST be a married man. Again, a non-sequiter, but an interesting one.
