Sorry, but that's gnosticism.

The whole point of letting Christ enter your life is that one is powerless, and you ask God to enter your life and use you.

It's not about power, but service.

You've totally misunderstood this.

At our church, we open the service each week with a song titled "Use Me." And of course, as one of the healing/teaching arm of the church, I always keep in mind Jesus's admonition, "Of myself I do nothing; it is the Father within who doeth the work." That is the same power Dr. Holmes is talking about here, and the same power we use in changing conditions and in all spiritual work.

We are not powerless; in fact, we are very powerful. The One Power flows through you and me and everyone. We use it all the time. The trick is to use it consciously and deliberately.

God is already in our lives -- God cannot be otherwise. And God uses us as we open to being used.
