Just curious...I'm a Southern Baptist myself....and this is completely off topic, but since you head up the Catholic ping list than I imagine you are a good one to ask.
If I were to marry a girl who is Catholic, and we were to marry at my church instead of hers than would our marriage be recognized in her Church's eyes?
Just curious, I dated a Catholic once and she never really gave me a straight answer.
*on topic*
Kerry using ANY Church as a photo-op is blasphemous....same goes for ANY politician.

What about the inverse? Would your church recognize it if she's catholic and you're not? Again, no sarcasm here, just asking because I don't know.

If I were to marry a girl who is Catholic, and we were to marry at my church instead of hers than would our marriage be recognized in her Church's eyes? Provided you went through proper channels, yes. The Catholic girl would normally be required to have a Catholic wedding. But it is possible to receive a dispensation to marry in another Church. As long as this is done, all would be hunky dory.
Now, the Catholic Church would probably want you to go through their pre-marital counseling, especially because a mixed marriage presents particular problems for the questino of how to raise children.
