Good analysis! While I don't share your qualms about AMIA, I agree this does back both rowan the fuzzy and his buddy eames (and their friends Canadian Abp michael peers, and of course ingham the apostate) into a rather tight corner. My best guess on this is that rowan will do nothing, even after peers and ingham have major hissy fits in the Canadian media. My reasoning on this one is that the four Global South supporting the alternative oversight are already sufficiently hostilized that any attempt to discipline the AMIA without adequately disciplining ecusa and the Anglican Church of Canada would in and of itself lead to a further split. rowan knows this, and at the same time knows that really disciplining ecusa will result in the loss of something like half of the funds currently used by Canterbury for the Anglican Communion...and *that* he will not do.
