Sometimes threads are all talk about topics, and that's great.

But sometimes threads are all about talking about the threads, and that's a waste of time. Sorry for my part in the latter.

Actually, if you read back a few days you will see that some of the other Calvinists say that a Christian wouldn't hang out here.

As for getting banned. I've noticed that on "Catholic threads" they moan and complain about how JimRob is quick to ban Catholics and let anti-Catholics get away with FAR more. Here I've seen the NC's (and a few others) moan the same way about how pro-catholic the mods obviously are. Or perhaps "anti-NES" posters get away with everything.

I think they're all missing the point. It's the whole "mote/plank" thing. I suspect the mods have pretty plain-vanilla rules for civil discourse and people are too blind to see when they cross those (very reasonable) lines. This isn't the "free speech public street corner", it's a political website that consents to have it's regular members carry on other discussions. If people can't play within the rules, fin d a new game.
