The writers of the New Testament, contrary to popular opinion, did not have a copy of Strong's at their right hand from which they composed their theological prose. Strong's is a reflection of the interpretation of the Bible of a particular person. It is not the secret decoder ring for theology.

The verses spoke for themselves, the concordance and lexicon just drive the point home.

You might try checking out a dictionary which also stresses the point.

I did the work for you, here:

Colossians 2:18
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
reward from the Greek
2603 katabrabeuo kat-ab-rab-yoo'-o
1)
to decide as umpire against someone
2)
to defraud or beguile of the prize of victory
3)
metaph. to deprive of salvation

Authorized Version (KJV) Translation Count — Total: 1 AV - beguile of (one's) reward 1;

Colossians 2 (NIV)
18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions.

Colossians 2 (NASB)
18   Let no one keep (1) defrauding you of your prize by (2) delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, (3) inflated without cause by his (4) fleshly mind,

Colossians 2 (AMP)
18 Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit,

Colossians 2 (NLV)
18 Do not let anyone rob you of your prize. They will try to get you to bow down in worship of angels. They think this shows you are not proud. They say they were told to do this in a dream. These people are proud because of their sinful minds.

Colossians 2 (ASV)
18 Let no man rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he hath seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Colossians 2 (YLT)
18   let no one beguile you of your prize, delighting in humble-mindedness and [in] worship of the messengers, intruding into the things he hath not seen, being vainly puffed up by the mind of his flesh,

Colossians 2 (DARBY)
18   Let no one fraudulently deprive you of your prize, doing his own will in humility and worship of angels, entering into things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by the mind of his flesh,

Colossians 2 (NIRV)
18 Some people enjoy pretending they aren't proud. They worship angels. But don't let people like that hold you back from winning the prize. They tell you every little thing about what they have seen. Their minds are not guided by the Holy Spirit. So they are proud of their useless ideas.

Let's see, most versions seem to agree that there is a prize to be awarded.

prize - 1. something offered or given to the winner of a contest, etc. 2. anything worth striving for

1 Corinthians 9:24
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

reward - 1. something given in return for something done 2. money offered,  as for capturing a criminal - vt.  to give a reward to someone for service etc.

beguile - 1. to mislead by guile 2. to deprive (of) by deceit. 3.to pass time pleasantly. 4. to charm of delight - beguilement.

disqualify - to make or declare unqualified, unfit, or ineligble

rob - vt. robbed, robbing |< to take property from unlawfully by using or threatening force. 2 to deprive of something unjustly or injuriously.

1 Corinthians 9 (NIV)
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
26 Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

1 Corinthians 9 (NASB)
24   (1) Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives (2) the prize? (3) Run in such a way that you may win.
25   Everyone who (4) competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable (5) wreath, but we an imperishable.
26   Therefore I (6) run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not (7) beating the air;
27   but I discipline (8) my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

1 Corinthians 9 (AMP)
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the prize? So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours.
25 Now every athlete who goes into training conducts himself temperately and restricts himself in all things. They do it to win a wreath that will soon wither, but we [do it to receive a crown of eternal blessedness] that cannot wither.
26 Therefore I do not run uncertainly (without definite aim). I do not box like one beating the air and striking without an adversary.
27 But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit].

1 Corinthians 9 (NLT)
24 Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. You also must run in such a way that you will win.
25 All athletes practice strict self-control. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.
26 So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step. I am not like a boxer who misses his punches.[1]
27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.

1 Corinthians 9 (KJV)
24   Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25   And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26   I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27   But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Definitions came from the New World Dictionary.

Now then....

What PRIZE was Paul telling people to STRIVE for, and cautioned them against being robbed, disqualified or deprived of?

The verses spoke for themselves, the concordance and lexicon just drive the point home.

This is at least the second time you are going to regret not checking the context of a word you look up in a concordance. And I do mean regret of the sincerest kind.

When I looked at the passage surrounding the verse you quoted in Colossians 2, my eyes first got big as saucers and then I did a little chuckle and then a full belly laugh. What I will allow you to do, is to retract this verse without discussing it and allow you to salvage some shred of dignity. We can then discuss the 1 Corinthians verse.
