In your theology, you were responsible for Steven and you blew it. That is a difficult thing to accept and a responsibility God does not give to any mortal. I believe that his downward spiral could have been stopped if y'all were not so busy friendshipping and missing the guy getting led down the legalistic path to perdition. I do not spend time here but don't much like the attitudes I saw. If you want to help Steven then be a true friend and point out the heresy, what it is and why it is a wrong concept of God. The long knives after me make it something I cannot do here.
And your a calvinist?

So which is it? Is it your theology or Mack's? They sound a lot alike in the end. You think Mack's silly for attempting to try to convert someone. You then chastise him for not trying hard enough or in the right fashion.
What happened to God's sovereignty? Can it be foiled by talk about sports, movies and Harleys? It must be a fragile thing indeed.
Uh, no. Steven's a bog boy. We have a responsibilty to try to teach and reprove, but none of us is "responsible" for another grown adult.

So the whole sending out the Apostles to make disciples of the nations thing is just a cosmic joke?

Try consistency. If God is sovereign, as you claim, and all is predetermined, what difference does it make how we or you behaved toward him?
Maybe it's your theology that needs to blame someone else for an apparent believer's fall? Even at the expense of logical consistency.
