Do Catholics have a "relationship" with Mary? Or is it all in their heads?

I guess (from the logical framework we were building from) that depends on whether she "exists". AND whether there is a relationship to be had if she DOES exist (e.g. if it's impossible to communicate either way because she is dead).

And, alternately, it depends on whether it's possible for some other entity to fake Mary's side of the relationship without the "believer" knowing what's really going on.
