In the book of Revelations, Jesus is described with WHITE woolly hair. Some of these groups leave out the word 'white' and just refer to the woolly hair ie: black nappy hair, which makes Him black.

...and, of course, it doesn't say that he was black, either, but rather bronze. MEant he was an outdoors, hard-working Man of the People, not that he was black.
"His hair was white like wool, as white as snow."
"White like wool" meant fresh, pure, unsoiled.

It also says that His eyes were like a flame of fire and His feet were like burnished bronze. That would make one strange looking black dude. :O)
