Because it is presumptuous for people of one faith to ask people of another faith to change their interpertations of sacred books.

Your reply does not even begin to hold water. 1. Suppose what you said is true. Then it follows from your argument that Foxman is being presumptuous. What does it have to do with the "Jews" -- all Jews?

Inasmuch as it has nothing to do with all males, although Foxman is male; nothing to to with all Americans, although Foxman is a citizen --- it has nothing to do with all Jews although Foxman's parents were Jews.

The fact that you do not see the difference is YOUR problem: you condone someone else's, if not your own, prejudice.

2. The question is NOT, and has not NEVER been about the interpretation of scriptures --- again, that is what YOU persist to see (I wonder now why). It is about the implications.

Some Christians --- great, great many, in afct --- have thought that the events described in the scriptures IMPLY (see the difference -- not MEAN) that the living Jews are resonsible to the death of Christ (one of their own, but that point mattered not for these Christians). They acted on it: killed, mamed, robbed, burned down villages.... This occurred continuously, starting with the writings of some Church Fathers and decrees of the first Christian Emperors. The outbursts were frequent during Easter, where the crowds empassioned by the Mass would turn on their Jewish neighbors.

Thus, (i) it has nothing to do with interpretations -- you are correct, I should not be telling you how to interpret your religion; and, (ii) if the implication is my phycisal safety --- you bet I'll be "presumptuous" and tell you that you are wrong. And if that does not help, I'll kick your butt if you harass my kid in the street, thinking that that child killed Jesus Christ.

Now, what I said will not change your mind a single bit, will it?

That is more than speech or dialogue, that is a declaration of war.

Well, sonny, you know nothing about the war.

And you are really unAmerican --- just keep insisting that you do not know the difference between speech and action.

It's because of "conservatives" like you, who do cannot even recognize American values when they are pointed out to them, that we are losing this great country to the Leftsts.

The trump card with you guys is always the Holocaust--as if Christians were the cause of it.

Now you are putting words in my mouth. And your words "you guys" is an ample evidence of your bigotry.

\ You also do not appear to be capable of even processing information that you have read --- just repeating verbatim what you have heard about "us guys."

I have no interest to interact with someone who is both prejudiced and bigoted, hence I shall not write to you again.

You are in a paranoid wonderland. Hurting people is wrong. Imangining that people will be hurt because hundreds of years ago people were hurt is paranoid. I am not going to become paranoid about Romans even though they continously persecuted Christians until the end of their power. I am wary about stalinists but would never tell a stalinist not be one. Stalin killed millions of Christains, particularly Catholics.

Jews are suffereing today from Muslim extremists. So are Christians, and a lot more Christians are dying yearly than Jews becasue of their faith. So my children and I really don't care about your little son and his faith is a non-issue. Having spend a good portion of my life watching Jewish racism towards non Jews up close and personal, my reaction to your threats is to laugh.

Now, we know the truth... Thank you. Case closed.

My law professor used to say, "You know how people tell you when asked about a reason for their actions give you a long, long list, and then say, `and besides...' --- and that is the REAL reason?"

Your post is just from that textbook.

Thank you for disclosing your bigotry.

Fine. I have no interest in communicating with you either--or anybody else who attempts to associate Christianity with the Holocaust and tie Christianity to Hitler. This is the real bigotry.

My bigotry??! You who want to tell Christians that they might go on pomgroms after a movie???

You should take a good look in the mirror bub. I watched the racism exercised against my JEWISH grandfather by the Jewish people around him. Give me a break.

Whay I find amusing (not at all) is that many people, including those on this forum, view what [Foxman] says as the "Jewish view." And speak of possible increas of anti-Semitism... Foxman... [is not] representative of all Jews.

That's a good point. And I wish more Jews would be like you and speak out on the matter. We hear all the time that Jews are afraid of Christians. What is less well known is that many Christians, especially if they are in the public eye, are terrified of people like Foxman who wield the anti-Semite label like a machete. When people like you speak out and say, "Wait a minute. He sure as hell doesn't speak for me," it's like the sun came out the middle of a grey winter day.

You point is well taken. And I surely fault my fellow co-religonists for not speaking out enough. Not just against Foxman: I was appalled, for instance, by that incident with the Art Museum a few years back, and all those attacks on nativity scenes in public parks (Jews have reasons to be sensitive --- but a nativity scene? I don't know a single Jew, including those whom I find overly sensitive, who would be disturbed by that!). And yet, I do not hear the Jewish organizations speak out enough. In the absence of sane voices, the leftists like Foxman are heard most.

This is both morally wrong and stupid: currently, it is the Christians in America (I mean, true ones) who preserve American values. In my opinion, anyone who cares about this country and preserving what made it great whould support Christianity for that reason alone. But then, again, many Jews have abandoned their tradition and replaced it with leftist mantra.

As I said earlier, your point is well taken.
