I you really want to wade through it (or you don't believe me) I'll post a link to a shortwave interview Hutton did a year ago, but it might take me a day or two to post. Alan somebody from Texas, a shortwave broadcaster dealing mostly with conspiracy theories.

The interview dealt with his view of the one world conspiracy, though Hutton blamed it on the Church, Jews never came up.

Different audience, different controversy. This was at the beginning of the movies noteriety, and he was asked the question how his son handles the controversy.

Essentially Hutton answered for himself, not Mel, and said while painful he welcomes it since it brings more people to his point of view.

Reread or listen to Hutton's explanation of the Popes's viewing. He was playing the Vatican for publicity. Why wouldn't Hutton agree to an interview with a Jewish station if controversy is what he's after.

In any case, no one denies it's Hutton. I posted the transcript so people could decide if he was being scammed by the Jewish station (that's come up on other threads). The questions are pretty straightforward to me, not leading, as are the answers.

I waded through a bit earlier in the day. And I think I might have come to same conclusions that you've presented regarding Hutton. But even then, the whole situation still seems strange to me.

As if a curtain is drawn open, we're all given a view of one man's particular bit of nastiness, and the curtain closes again.
