It would be interesting to find out how well attended this church is, and if it is considered a "Conservative Catholic" church.

Gibson's chapel has 70 members and attendance is by invitation only.

That's an "exclusive" church.

Well, then toss out my observation in regards to his church. I still plan on seeing the film, though.

I imagine that if he didn't do this, he would have to contend with groupies showing up there just to get a glimpse of him and possibly disrupting the service.

Before long they'll be calling it a 'compound' and the FBI will burn the place to the ground.

And the basis for that statement as fact is?
Just inquiring.

I agree with GraniteStateConservative, one is almost forced to see what the noise is all about. The only reason I rented Barbershop was to see why the "black leadership" was up in arms.

The invitation only could be to keep out the "celebrity hunters and gawkers." It would be hard to worship with the paparrazi circling like sharks. It would also be hard to worship if a celebrity like Mel Gibson becomes the center of attention.

Gee, if I had a chapel in my back yard, I wouldn't want "lookie loos" either.
You know people would only come to see Mel. Leave him practice his faith in peace, for goodness sake. Who cares! He's not hurting anyone, is he??
