I think its relational in that woody is making a claim based on his discernment of that particular passage (1 John3:2) - If his understanding, and ability to see through the looking glass is in fact cloudy - we are obligated to point out his contextual misuse of the Scripture. Not that were to "pull" him from that - rather in placing the commentaries of great reformationists before him, demonstrating that fact
With that, his conclusions regarding open theism are called into question - not that they are wrong - but rather were trying to help him clean his looking glass
