"...what is your definition of proselytizing?

Just a Webster's definition.

How many, if any, FR Arminians have become Open Theologians?

That's the whole point Wrigley, none of us knows about all the people who lurk here. NONE of us. That's why this is a stupid discussion. So nobody has asked to be removed from the GRPL in it's, what, three months of existence?

So what? This discussion is pointless.

I ping the RM because I'd like to make sure we stop it right here.

I'm done. I hope you are too.

I don't think it's much of a jump IF (IF) they have a centralized administration. If they do, then they have a single spokesperson.

Geez! Give you guys just a little rope and it's all of a sudden lynch party time!

I had to leave for a few hours, and the other moderators have neither the time nor the inclination to do even the little background work I've done; in my absence it's easier for them to pull or lock a thread until I can review it.

On this one, though, I have to take a bit of the blame, even though in my Post #350 I did say I don't need answers to any of the above posted; I simply offer them as food for thought. 'Course, no one read that apparantly.

I will restore this thread if everyone will stay on the topic of the thread, assuming there's any interest left and anyone remembers what that topic is.

Isn't this thread about Calvinism v. non-Calvinism, like all the others? ;-)

I noticed; not offended - just don't want anyone to get the wrong idea.

I get lots of wrong ideas, but they are only passing thoughts; and therefore, not sinful. ;-)

"...what is your definition of proselytizing?
Just a Webster's definition.

The Calvinists believe truth stands on its own , and if God chooses to give ears and eyes He will, so we discuss and allow the Holy Spirit to tun on the lights..

We do not consider the doctrine of Calvinism necessary for salvation..but a biblical truth , that all too often needs defense from Wesleyans and Arminians that use their own terms to define it.( "Worshipers of satan," or unsaved or puppets or robots etc by the general Armianian group ) .

Look at the post you made on Wesley..any of us could consider the purpose is to oppose the Calvinists and push your own doctrine right?

pros·e·ly·tize    ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (prs-l-tz) v. pros·e·ly·tized, pros·e·ly·tiz·ing, pros·e·ly·tiz·es v. intr. To induce someone to convert to one's own religious faith.
To induce someone to join one's own political party or to espouse one's doctrine.

***I don't need answers to any of the above posted; I simply offer them as food for thought***

Actually, I did read that. However, since #350 was to me and began by summarizing my views (***In other words, this fight will rage on as long as there's a Religion forum.***) in a way that were not my views, I did not want to leave the misrepresentation.

The first question implied that views do not change as a result of the discussions here (***Has anyone changed sides yet?***) which has not been the case.

In answering I was not attempting a flame. Your question I believe deserved answers if only to clarify some facts. They were good questions for which there were some answers.

Welcome back....

BTW, I appreciate locked versus pulled threads.

Excuse me, but I thought that as moderator, you would not stand and dictate to us what can and can not be allowed.

You said you would not interject yourself into doctrinal matters and that any discussion would be allowed.

Therefore, why do you presume to get involved in this debate? What right do you have?

Stay out of it please.

I just am asking you to live up to what you said you would do as moderator in your post announcing your appointment.

Good day.

"What right do you have?"

Go back up thread, read my apology, and grow up.

Until this thread, I had no complaints about how you have been running things. Too bad though that you, the moderator, appear to be engaging in personal attacks in violation of forum rules (grow up etc). I have grown up, thank you very much, but don't like it when you appear to not be living up to what you have promised to do as moderator.

Anyway.

"As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
