Christ died once for all: the choice is to accept or reject him. The Holy Spirit allows us to make that choice (which as fallend creatures we could not do on our own) but the choice is still ours to make.

We are slaves to sin before our conversion. The only way we can come to faith is if the Holy Spirit converts the hearts of those God has predestined.

There is not even a hint of Scriptural evidence that the atonement was intended for everybody and we somehow have the ability to choose anything godly when we hate all things godly. The Holy Spirit must do it all.
