If we get active and develop a strategy I'll bet we can put a big time crimp in those circulation numbers. Go ahead.
Catholic bishops advertise for diocesan positions in the NCR.
Workshops, conferences, and retreats are advertised in the NCR.
Cardinals (like George and McCarrick) write letters to the editor.
Better men than you have tried, and failed, to bring down the NCR.

You are saying that the NCR has merit because of John Allen's inside connections and the practical info on positions, retreats, etc. But even if that is so, are you defending the newspaper's promotion of heresy, as the good Bishop pointed out way back in 1968? And if the newspaper does advocate heresy, do we really want to have our diocesan chanceries staffed with people who read this magazine?
To: sinkspur; heyheyhey
Thanks for the info.
Now let us see how that might be of use, hmmmm.

Catholic bishops advertise for diocesan positions in the NCR. We know. That's why we're in the mess we are.
That's why we have dissenter feminist nuns and atheist psychologists running priestly formation programs.
That's why heretics like FutureChurch are running their organization out of Church buildings.
That's why we have a homosexual abuse scandal in almost every diocese.
Yes...we are quite aware of the influence National "Catholic" Reporter has had, and continues to have, in the chanceries.

Fascinating.
As I read your posts on NCR's piddling 50K circulation I knew it would be a matter of time before you lost your composure and Came Out, so to speak, fighting.
I was ready for it the moment you hissed the Bishop had been dead 30 years. Just another bit of wishful thinking your NCR part, I guess.

This is much like your recommendation to find good Catholic workers by canvassing those who attend Daily Mass.
... only different.
