Am I to presume, based on 257, that enumeration of the life and personal habits of Mohammed shall be verboten?

If you read the post in question you will have noticed that the comments about Mohammed constituted an extremely personal offensive comment. That is not allowed. Period.
I personally would not have made those remarks about Mohammed, certainly not in the way they were made. Historical comments about any religious figure, with appropriate, verifiable references are fine. Comments which appear to me to be written specifically to create animosity will not.
In some respects, it might be helpful to look the situation this way: I have to put up with all of you; you have to put up with me.

Ooops! Should have read...
If you read the post in question you will have noticed that the comments just before the remarks about Mohammed constituted an extremely personal offensive comment. That is not allowed. Period.
