Hi FRiend,
Now I'm worried. Isn't this film opening "Nationwide"?
I was just at the site where it lists the States it is opening at.. and California wasn't listed. Nor was Oregon. ???
Kind of worried.
Do you know what is going on with that?
I'm PRAYING it is just a glitch.
Gotta run. But will check my ping list later.
You seem up on this movie, and I'm always reading your information on this. I appreciate all your help. Thanks!
God Bless, VH&W

Thanks for the correction.
I most certainly don't want to unwittingly express heresy. Sometimes trying to express who Christ is is confusing....he is so much more than a lot of people make him to be.

I am pretty darn sure it is an error. You will be able to see it in California and Oregon.

Everyone.....the thing in post 56 is way way inaccurate.
I personally know of a least 6 theaters which are playing the Passion in Kansas that are not listed. The page lists only one, utter nonsense.
Folks...the only way to know for sure if the Passion will be playing is to CALL THE THEATER YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT SEEING IT IN. They will know most certainly; if they do not for some odd reason, look online for the Chain website and call their main number and ask.
I am willing to bet that everyone on this thread will not have to drive over 60 miles to see the film; I am in a tiny town and will have to go 20 miles.

While I rarely, if ever, go to theatre releases of films, I will be going to this one. With a heavy heart, no doubt, and maybe a bit of hope. If all that has been written about it is true, it may turn out to be the best film of all time, period.

Here is a link to a page that has a bunch of links to theater chain websites. It does not have the two local ones around here, but has a large number; you will have to press second in the lower right corner to go to the next page of listings.
Remember...the internet only lists so much, only those who bother to list the theater as having the movie, which is a tiny tiny number of people. The only sure way is to call the chain or your local theater to see if The Passion will be playing.

Thanks. Great Review.

If a theater won't play it there, I will kiss my foot. The net only lists so many theaters, a very small number. Call the theater you normally go to and see if they will be playing it. I bet they will.
This will have a much wider release than originally thought several months ago.

Amen to that! I still remember an embarrassing public misstatement I made in about 1975!

prairie, thank you! Your own passion is evident.
Amazing project ~ daring and wonderful for Mel to stand on the world stage, an artist 'naked' in front of his peers, unashamed. Such faith and courage must reach the hearts of even a few Hollywood doubters. (^:

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out!
One nice thing is that is seems Mel Gibson is mulling over making additional films with a distinctive Christian flavor. I presume the reception "The Passion" gets from the public will have an impact on that decision.
Just curious... I didn't watch "Fox and Friends" this am and I am wondering what Mancow had to say about his viewing of "The Passion" - I've heard that he is a practicing Catholic although I've been to his website and heard him on Fox and Friends many times and he can be raunchy.

I happened to catch Mancow this morning. He was recommending the movie. He said the same comment that I recorded about Mel being bored with his acting career and feeling unfulfilled.
