Thank you. I saw that in the Douay a couple of days ago, but it didn't register properly.
So, what is the proper English rendering of Kephas?

So, what is the proper English rendering of Kephas? You mean the translation? I'm not sure--I don't know Aramaic :). But from what little I've heard from other exegetes, "Kephas" is the equivalent of our rather generic "rock".
