[Bardot's] latest outburst, a book called Un Cri Dans Le Silence, attacks Islam, gays, the unemployed, teachers and illegal immigrants, and calls for a return of the guillotine.
She says that gays are fairground freaks, teachers arrive at work with greasy hair wearing disgusting jeans and muddy trainers, and that "the professional unemployed" don't even want to work illegally.
She rails against what she claims is the "Islamisation of France", and after a lifelong campaign against the death penalty, she says the guillotine should be brought back for child-killers.
Onward Muslim Soldiers is jam-packed with some of the most politically incorrect statements about Islam (e.g., "Jihad and killing is the head of Islam."), though it is instructive to note that many of these statements, like the example above, are direct quotes from Muslim religious leaders themselves. Such is Spencer's tack in providing his critical analysis of Islamic writings, history, and current practice. His previous book "Islam Unveiled..." was a really good eye-opener (thanks VOA for the recommendation a while back). I hope this one is just as good.
I, too, am certainly grateful that Bardot is outspoken and concerned. Are there more like her? We can look to France and learn but will we? And, no flames, I mean looking to those foreignly funded and operated mosques on our own soil who may not be so keen on upholding or abiding by our laws, not those who wish to embrace our laws and live peacefully and productively among us. As most of our ancestors did when they came to America.
So how do the French respond? Just like with WWII, many sit back and apathetically watch the progress of this 'movement' and prosecute Bardot for speaking the truth. Prosecuting her under the guise of racism, which is not accurate as Islam spans many races.
At least the French are reading her book (bestseller), hopefully the regular citizens can work to save their rich and diverse culture, and the Catholicism that used to be taken for granted.
Bardot had been concerned that beautiful churches were closing and mosques were springing up in their place.

Will the Muslims in charge tolerate the Notre Dame or Mont St. Michel? I think not. Perhaps the French will start to rethink the whole thing when proposals are made to outlaw alcohol. The French without wine (or should that be whine - wink)? Sacre Bleu!!
That answered my question before I even asked it. Dajjal, you're a prophet ;-)))
I really like what Bardot is doing. I was a teenager when she ruled the movies with her fantastic body. Now she comes out with this.
The thing is, she has power due to her movie star identity. It is analogous to Schwartzneger & Mel Gibson.
A handful of Conservative movie stars seem to outweigh the entire Liberal movie star establishment. And I love it!
What if someone did a pirated DVD combining Bardot then and Bardot now?
I do, too. I try to post a reference to her on all the France/Euroweenie Islamofascist threads. I guess I missed the era of her movies, but I can see what guys would like about her. ;-)

That's what's so amazing. Could you imagine the US jailing Mel or Arnold or Kelsey Grammer or Gary Sinise for speaking out against the terrorists among us? Or in support of our troops and efforts against the terrorist types? Yet the French have tried to silence and stifle the few brave voices who dare to speak out, led by Brigitte. Yet, just like our Conservative movie stars shining, and intelligently at that!, she also continues to shine. Sean Penn & Co. could take a lesson...
Yeah, well, presumably Sean Penn is with us on the 2nd Ammendment, at least.
I would hope. But he strikes me as the type who thinks the 2nd ammendment (and most of the ammendments) are meant for some but not all, good for some and not good for most others. And, guess what? He's in the good-for-some group. Like most leftie dems, he never expects to live with the socialism they propose for us, they expect to be in the elite group above that. I hope I'm wrong about that, but after hearing his post-Iraq-trip rant, I'm not so sure...
I think your pessimism is justified. I was reaching for something positive, but more of a toungue in cheek reference to his firing on the helicopter during his wedding to Madonna.
