After the engagement was sealed before a Hebrew wedding, the groom would leave the bride's house and the two would be separate for about a year. The bride would prepare herself for the groom and the groom would prepare a place for the bride. And then at night, the groom, dressed as a king, would come to the house of the bride. The two would be lifted up on a chair and carried away with joy to the house that the bridegroom had prepared. There they would celebrate for days with a great marriage feast and the two would become one.

Two thosand years ago, Messiah, the Groom said, "In my Father's house are many mansions, I go to prepare a place for you." So now is the great preparation, as we the Bride prepare ourselves for the Groom, as He prepares a place for us. He's been working on it for two thousand years, it will be more beautiful, more wonderful and more right than our home on earth. So seek first the Kingdom and His Righteousness and He'll take care of the rest. And you will live happily ever after - forever and ever.

TODAY'S MISSION
Do one thing to make yourself ready for the Bridegroom. Let go of something from your old life, an attitude, a habit that really isn't pleasing to Him.

Heavenly Father, we put on the whole Armour of God, (love) so that we are able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. we will withstand all the evil of the day, and having done all to stand, we girt up our loins with truth and we put on the breastplate of righteousness, which is faith and love. Father Your Word, which is truth, is the entire weapon we need for warfare. Our feet are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, in Jesus name we pray Amen and amen

God woke me up at 4 this morning to speak of our marriage to the Lord. Then see you have this posted.

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but [O]ne, that is, God.

I appreciate all your post.

It is unfourtunate that they do not get many responses.

I guess there are no point of contention in the simple truths of the Bible.

Rest assured they are appreciated.

Thanks for this thread. It's a great reminder, because I know there's some things in my life that could use some real improvement to be ready if the Bridegroom returns soon. And we should be doing it all through our lives, if Jesus should tarry. No matter how soon or how long, we have our duty and I needed this reminder.
