We live in an anti-always culture. One that is based on constant change. The only thing permanent in our culture is that there's nothing permanent. What's in today is gone tomorrow. Attention spans are shorter and shorter. Family dinners have been replaced by fast food. We live in an MTV, fast food disposable culture. It is not just the containers that are disposable, but so are modern values and beliefs.
An anti-always culture produces people who lack the 'quality of always', the quality of consistency, of endurance, of faithfulness, and of an innner core of morality, that which can never be moved. It is crucial that we hold to what NEVER changes. We have an always faith, an always Book, an always friend, and an always God. Dispose of what is disposable. Be done with what is made to be done with. Base your life, your values, your pursuits on that which is always. Do this - and you'll have an always hope, peace and joy.
TODAY'S MISSION
Establish a consistent routine for your prayer life. Get up 15 minutes earlier and spend time in His presence, in prayer before you start your day. Let His Peace and blessings reflect in all you say and do.
