According to the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate, 122 high school seminaries existed in the United States in 1967. Thirty-six were operated by dioceses and 86 by religious communities.

I went to one in Dallas in 1965, for a year, and we had 20 students, and three priests tied up teaching us.
