It's a personal matter. We all seek help from those we feel closest to. I have the highest respect for Mother Teresa and the prophetic mystery of her service to the poor, but I don't feel drawn to pray to her. I should add that I believe saints sometimes take the initiative in looking out for those who haven't thought to ask for their help. Because of certain events in my life, I think Saint Nicholas has done this for me. Consequently I try to remember the interest he's taken in me, and to accept the friendly help he's offered.

How do you know saint Nicholas has done things for you? How do you know that it wasn't God who did it? Do you pray to ex-saint Christopher? What happens to the prayers directed to him?
