cheap trick behind the most devastating lie in the history of mankind
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution_Poll ^ | 10/15/2003 | self

Here are the some of the results of a 1999 Gallup poll on creationism, evolution, and public education :
49% believe that human beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life.
Evolution theory is the most important weapon to twist people's minds.
For 99% of the people the most important REAL reason for believing in it : a trick that costed a few bucks, 100 years ago.
Even more incredible : the trick has remained the same until now.
Only lately, with very fast computers that allow virtual reality software to perform convincing enough, have we seen some effects added to the base trick.
I wonder who is the first Freeper to find out the trick behind the most devastating lie in the history of mankind.

As a person with a degree in engineering and two in theology I am a young earther.

BTW, have you read David Limbaugh's book, Persecution? There are issues of freedom at stake, are there not?

***The reason this nation is a cesspool is because you backward, unscientific, liars have chased the very scientific and intellectual elites away from the republican party and they are now either nonpolitical or vote for the democrats.***

Come now, is this not a boatload of hyperbole? I know quite a few evangelical academics in the scientific fields and all of them are staunchly republican.

Funny. I could've sworn the 140 million or so that were killed during the 20th century were killed by atheists.

That number is on the lean side, you could arguably add another 100 million or so before you even started to count the hundreds of millions slaughtered through abortion.

Let's not forget to add the plagues of euthenasia, eugenics, and the nation splitting concept of "races". Christians believe we are all of one blood (common ancestor in Noah). It is the God haters who make up this fiction of "races" so that they call one group inferior and cause strife and calamity between subjective people groups.

Athiesim also gives relative values. No longer is murder necessarily a bad thing. Theft and rape can also be rationalized away. An atheist can molest children with a clear conscience because the there are no absolutes other than "be true to yourself".

On the other hand, perhaps the athiests would like to tell us about the number of hospitals, orphanages, retirement homes, shelters for battered women, soup kitchens for the street bums, and a plethora of humanitarian missions around the globe. The name of the hospital closest to me beings with "Presbyterian" not "Alex Crowley" or "Stalin".

When it comes to taking care of the world, who do we trust? Western nations steeped in Christianity or the Humanistic States like USSR, Cuba and China? Were Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler and Ceausescu humanitarian luminaries?

Calvinistic Christianity brought us the most free nation in all of world history. Athieism has brought us the greatest slave states in all history. With the rise of atheism and the decline of Christianity's influence, is the crime, illegitimacy, drug abuse, sexual perversion, educational, moral climate improving or declining? Or stated in freeper terms, are we becoming more free or under even more government control?

I agree christians have been persecuted in this country but that persecution has been brought on by the extreme actions of the young earth christians and their blatant attacks on ethnic, religious, and social groups that they disagree with. Your vocal minority has caused a backlash against all other christians in this nation.

I personally wish the Christians that can accept modern technological and scientific knowledge would drive the young earthers out of the party. It is not that young earth creationists can't believe what they wish it is that the mindset these people embrace is often bigoted and it is almost certain that if this group ever came to power in this country that they would support legislation that would be detrimental to the scientific development of this country and they would also stifle any free speech and free thought. They are as dangerous as the nazis or the communists. In fact I can imagine these people being as bad as the islamic fundamentalists if they came to power.

You want to see hate look in the mirror.

No we have your post, right here.

"fanatic","bigots", "spew hate", "ignorant luddites", "fool", "backward, unscientific liars", "silly mythology", "shut up"

Ah, the very model of civility and decency.

Any time you want to challenge a "young earther" about "science" let me know. I will be more than happy to hear your explanations for everything ex nihlo, biogenesis, matter from energy, order from chaos, information from nowhere, and I am sure you can tell us how the complexities of the DNA strand came from pure chance. In the meantime, your blind "faith" in the God of Chance and the Doctrine of Hate that you have a particularly strong attraction to contribute to all of the reasons we are laughing at you.

It seems to me that you belong either in the Libertine Party, or with your fellow God Hating immoral perverts in the Demoncat party. You would feel much better there since the Demoncats are so pro-active in persecuting Christians and your rhetoric sounds like it came straight from the mouth of Karl Marx and the myrmidons who follow him. This sounds right up your alley. With your evil disposition total lack of intelligence, knowledge of history, and the inability to apply common sense, they may even try to get you elected.

Maybe you can have your own book burning where you burn Bibles, religious materials and a Christian or two.

BTW, here are the names of a few Christians, you might recognize them as fathers of science.:

Isaac Newton, Michael Faraday, Johannes Kepler, Blaise Pascal, Robert Boyle, Nicolaus Steno, Carolus Linnaeus, Lord Kelvin [William Thomson], James Clerk Maxwell, Louis Pasteur, Gregor Johann Mendel.

In other words, you realize your own ignorance and cowardice so you run away and prove that you are nothing but hot air and hate. Thanks for the disclosure.

***I personally wish the Christians that can accept modern technological and scientific knowledge would drive the young earthers out of the party.***

Since when has Republicanism been about the age of the earth? If you were to discover that David Limbaugh is a young earther would you want him ushered out of the Republican party?

***are as dangerous as the nazis or the communists. ***

Do you have a moral problem that causes such hate and irrational statements? Your statements are incredibly harsh and extreme. Perhaps it's a rash that has you so hostile.

In Lousianna we have a product that might help you.

How is telling the TRUTH hate.

Ironic that an immoral relativistic atheist is talking about "truth" and "hate". If you were the least bit consistant, you couldn't recognize anything as truth, and you wouldn't be able to discern hate. But curiously you are using those terms here. Ah, the double minded man is unstable in all of his ways. Thanks for your contributions, I needed the laugh.

Lose the n-word, Dr. Warmoose. It's uncalled for.

I am glad to see that you are keeping to form as an ankle biter by posting such childish complaints to the moderator. Curiously though, I don't see any similar complaints towards the obvious and persistant hate speech by our resident athiest.

Why I am thinking Mark 3:23?

I made the same complaint when Illbay (LDS) used the word inserting an "*" for the "i" in the n-word. So you are in good company.

I see no warrant for anyone to use that word and yours was gratuitous.

I just hit abuse on post #317 for use of the racist term. Don't want you wondering who did it if the post is removed.

Nice list. What does it prove?

Here's a list of a few scientists -- the true fathers of science -- from the good ol' days of Zeus and the gang on Mt. Olympus: Aristotle; Pythagoras, Aristarchus (wrote that the earth rotated on its axis, and revolved around the sun); Eratosthenes (accurately calculated the earth's circumference); Archimedes.

If you were keeping along you would have noticed that the fallacious and unsubstantiated claim was made that Christianity and science are mutally exclusive. However, I have no idea what you are trying to get at.

I just hit abuse on post #317 for use of the racist term.

I'm sorry. I should have known. As a fake Christian you would believe in the secular fallacy of "race". Also as an unintelligent fake Christian, you couldn't possibly comprehend the fact that certains words cannot be "racist" when the person stating them doesn't even believe in "race". As an illiterate, unintelligent fake Christian, it would be asking to much for you to even see the context of the use of a word that a few years ago was just considered as offensive as "redneck". As an ankle biting, illiterate, unintelligent fake Christian, I don't expect you to even care.

Why don't you go run crying to mommy about my "racist" use of the word "redneck".

Name calling count (one post)

fake Christian - 4
unintellegent - 3
illiterate - 2

If you, Vamoose, are the measure of literacy, intellegence and genuine Christianity... I am honored by your labels.
