[history]
A few days before the election, a friend asked who I wanted to be governor. "Anyone but Arnold," I answered.
"Why? What's wrong with Arnold?" he wanted to know. "Is it his politics or his proposals? Or is it his personality?"

This is something of a joke, but having been a copy editor (the guy who lays out headlines), I can tell you right now that papers are going to have a hard time with this. Look in the next few months at the shorthand they start to use for "Gov. Schwarzenegger."

That implies that you'll always have two lines for a head. If you're using a 24-point head font, that may be too much. If you use a smaller font, it may diminish the impact of the story. It also requires that the name fall at the end of the line, which it may not always do.
My guess is that, in defiance of the AP Stylebook, they'll shorten it to "Arnold."
