FEEDING HIS ADDICTION: Radio host Rush Limbaugh is checking into a substance abuse clinic to treat his prescription pill addiction.
A desperate, drug-addicted Rush Limbaugh begged his dealer to score him a final, explosive dope cocktail just two weeks before he attempted to detox last year, a new report says.

I just think that folks who understand this situation and folks who love Rush do not want to see the person who is the "drug pusher" become glamorized because she/he is pursued for information about a great person's problem. It is a sleazy way to elevate low-life forms above someone successful and famous, like Rush. It is an example of that ugly thing..ENVY.

Bless you! It is true that many times we face a gap between what medicine can do and where we need to be for healing. Only our spiritual condition can fill that
gap. We usually need the prayful support of others when we reach this point because sometimes, we are not capable of praying for ourselves. That is why we need to lift Rush up right now because, I guarantee you, he is probably much too distraught to pray for himself. His enemies will try to destroy him while he is wounded..It is up to us to fight that battle for him. And, his family needs our support, too.

The posts that just amaze me are the "but he was using 'government sanctioned' drugs not 'street' drugs"He worded his admission carefully. He got "prescription" and "pain" into the statement. He had no prescription so they were illegal, and a man of his wealth could have found a doctor to give them to him if there was pain.
Looks to me like he just liked the buzz, even more than he valued his hearing. Rush has never backed the right to self medicate, he can't claim the right for himself while promoting prison for others.

As with any criminal act, one also has to keep in sight the number of crimes that were committed before the last criminal act was accomplished.
How may thefts, phoney RXs, etc., had occurred before Rush could buy such drugs.
How many victims were involved in this Victimless crime.

I can relate Well said. I believe Rush needs a better understanding of the love of Christ.

Yes I agree, these posts that present Rush as a crazy dopehead are B.S. The man has had a very good run.

How may thefts, phoney RXs, etc., had occurred before Rush could buy such drugs. From what we're told these things are easily available. Most drug stores have gone to serious lenghts to prevent theft. I don't think the theft could account for the amount in circulation. In all likelyhood, the drug companies are supplying the black market, at least in part.

Further, Rush being wealthy could afford to finance his habit. Those of lesser means may have to resort to crime to support such a habit.
Should the person who is addicted and has to resort to crime to feed such addiction be thrown in jail while the wealthy get "sentenced" to spas?
To: Dane
Could you please state to me where Rush has condemned anyone who got addicted to drugs due to a medical condition? Rush has always supported the War on Drugs and has always been just as contemptuous of the "medical marijuana" supporters as any other user of illegal drugs.
I certainly feel for Rush too, and I'm glad to see that his case is the one that will finish off this drug war, no matter what the outcome. If Ashcroft steals Rush's home and savings and tosses him in prison, as with those other innumerable drug users, Rush and his audience will now understand the error of granting this cabal of JBT's a special exemption from the Constitution. If, on the other hand, Rush gets off easy, the drug war will collapse because its hyprocrisy will stand revealed.

Should the person who is addicted and has to resort to crime to feed such addiction be thrown in jail while the wealthy get "sentenced" to spas?We treat the affluent drug addict like the Columbians treated Pablo(?). They are allowed to build the own luxury prisons and call them rehab clinics. Best justice system money can buy.

If Rush is a drug addict, he's friggin' SUPERMAN...
Popping the metabolic equivelant of heroin on a daily basis and still being able to broadcast 3 hours a day 5 days a week? I'm astounded.
No wonder the lefties can't kill him. They need Kryptonite.

Ah.. but it does matter -- weed -- in re "safer". CA has seen many runs of pot laced and/or treated with this, that, and the other. During Soro's great campaign to legalize pot -- the most vocal groups AGAINST legalizing pot -- where small, local growers. Amazing, no.

Yeah!!! Our conservative drug addicts are stronger and more resiliant than their liberal drug addicts. Ours can afford better shysters also.
Wussies!!!

Sorry, but this sounds an awful lot like those Clinton supporters who kept repeating: "It's only about sex."

My prayers go out to you. My neuropathy isnn't this bad yet, but I do understand what you are saying. I've only had one surgery - no relief. Have you been to neuropathy.org, or do you have another site for info?

Clinton never made a speech where he said getting a blow job from a fat, brunette, dingy intern was objectionable.

I just had a pinched sciatic nerve a few weeks ago and the pain was excruciating. I was on Valium and Perkocet for a few days (it would be two weeks before I could get to the orthopedist) and then decided that this was not the way to live---I'm too active---a friend recommended a chiroprater---and that was my salvation.
However, I can see how having that cronic pain with no relief in sight--could lead a person to drugs that will relieve that pain!!
G-d bless Rush and help him through this latest challenge in his life. I'm looking forward to hearing him again!!!
To: Bronco_Buster_FweetHyagh
Not so fast, Bronco. Rush admitted to being addicted to painpills. He has not said anything about purchasing blackmarket painpills, and thus far that is all he has said - he is addicted to pain pills.
If someone tells you they are a sex-addict, is your natural assumption to presume the person is having sex all the time? Or that they merely think about it all the time?
