Ken Hamblin comments on Rush Limbaugh
Fox News Channel ^ | 10-11-03 | Ken Hamblin on the Rita Cosby Show

Posted on 10/11/2003 7:17:26 PM PDT by Matchett-PI

Did anyone else hear the ludricrous statements that Ken Hamblin made on Rita's show just now?

Among other things, he said that "Rush was given the keys to the kingdom and let us down."

Then he proceeded to puff himself up, making a total jackass out of himself as far as I'm concerned.

I videotaped the whole segment and would replay it and transcribe it, but have to run out for a while right now.

The Enquirer had Wilma saying that he hid all this from Marta. But it also said he had pills falling out at the studio, and coming out of his golf bags...

Were Rush's e-mails published in the Enquirer article? Eric Burns on Fox News last night talked about Rush's e-mails to Wilma, which depicted him as lonely, and I think he used the word 'desperate.'

Oh yea, lot's of chronic pain patients get their medication in the parking lot at Dennys.

I know that's where my pharmacy is....

Yea, you can wipe that sarcasm off your shirt about now.

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing and you saved me the effort of typing it.

I enjoyed Ken Hamblin in the past, but he made out like Rush was a homeless crack addict and stealing to support a habit of getting high.

It was a disgusting display.

Funny how some folks had nothing against trashing McClintock for doing something "bad for conservatism."

I believe that the embracing of Arnold S. as a conservative by conservatives will be more damaging to conservatism than anything that Rush did or did not do.

Folks, this is a medical problem. Yeah, there are legal overtones depending on how he acquired the medicine, but avoiding pain is the source of this matter, not getting high.

There IS a difference.

What makes you so confident there is another shoe to drop ..??

Supposedly the National Enquirer has not published everything it has.

We shouldn't throw our brethren to the wolves just because they make mistakes.

Tell that to the several hundred thousand non-violent drug offenders sitting in our Nations prisons. I'm sure they'll be waiting for you to drag them away from the "wolves". Afterall, it was only the "mistake" of getting caught that put them where they are today, and most here champion their removal from society. Of course, they didn't have a AM Radio following to forgive them, did they? Our inconsistancy is showing!Blackbird.

Er.....I said Is there a particular reason I shouldn't judge Rush Limbaugh the same way I judged Democrats for eight long years?

No, we're supposed to turn a blind eye to it just like the RATS do when one of their own get's exposed. Everything we hate about the RATS is being championed right here on this thread. Who are the hypocrites in all this? Blackbird.

<< Or maybe he finds self-righteous hypocrites repulsive. >>

MR LIMBAUGH: [OF HIS OWN PREVIOUS CRIMINAL EXPERIENCES WITH BANNED SUBSTANCES (PARAPHRASED)]

"I experimented with marijuana and I DID INHALE! But I was bigger than dope -- and quit!"

MR LIMBAUGH: [WEIGHING IN AT AROUND THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS -- OF KURT COBAIN, THE DAY MR COBAIN DIED -- AND EVER AFTER]

"Just another dead doper."

MR LIMBAUGH: [WHEEZING THROUGH CLOUDS OF STINKING CHEROOT SMOKE]

" ... I am holding here in my "formally" nicotine stained fingers."

And, as what turns out to have been the consequences of his criminal drug taking took greater toll, increasingly shrilly, on and on ad infinitum.

As WackyKat so succinctly put it, Mr Limbaugh long ago began to believe his own PR.

And blew it.

Enjoy a long retirement, Mr Limbaugh.

Best ones -- Brian

Ken is entitled to his opinion. I don't know if he is still on the air, but the times I have traveled through areas where I could get his show, I always liked him and think I would continue to listen if I given the chance.

I also hope Rush beats it this time.

"There are some Freepers here who might give you an argument on that."

If they think Rush didn’t bring at least 600 votes to Bush’s side in Florida, they’re free to try to make their case.

Reprehensible disloyalty. If not for Rush, there would be no Ken Hamblin. Nor Hannity, nor Medved, nor any other of the right-wing talking heads on radio.

I don't question that it started out that was, but his dependency became psychological, not physical. Add that to the possible illegality of the acquisition, and and differences between that and other illegal drugs are symbolic, not meaningful.

IMO, what LJ wants is what all of the Fascists want --...

Libertarian saying that Rush should face the same fate that he advocates for tens of millions of americans = fascist

...to snuff out the opposing views.

Espousing an opinion that isn't shared by 1 out of 10 posters on this thread = snuff out the opposing views

They are of course hypocrites and cowards.

Cowardly is a personal insult posted anonymously, IMHO... freepmail me if you want to arrange a face-to-face meeting to explain my cowardice to me

Stick to drinking your Rush-flavored kool aide & leave the reasoned debate to others

A think the key problem is there is too much
following of leaders.
We are influenced by the media to make idols
of men and when they shift we often shift
with them rather than staying with principal.
Or when we finally find out they are not
some supermen like we thought then we
get all bent out of shape because our faith
was focused on them.

I do however think Rush has been way too
way a follower of the Republican line but
that is not a unique problem to him
it is the nature of the conservative talk
radio and fox news too be too close to Republicans
and they need to do a better job of holding
Republicans to account.

>>...Of course, they didn't have a AM Radio following to forgive them, did they?...<<

Nor did they have the National Enquirer, national cable and network news, world newspapers, Democrat Party spokespeople, and Free Republic to condemn them and "pile on".
