Green Party Governor Candidate Now Democrat

POSTED: 10:28 a.m. MDT October 10, 2003

SANTA FE, N.M. -- David Bacon, the Green Party's candidate for governor last year, says he plans to change his voter registration to the Democratic Party.

Bacon said he's switching so he can vote for presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich in the state Democratic caucuses in February.

He said he'll more than likely switch back to the Green Party if Kucinich fails to win the Democratic nomination.

That will bring Kucinich's vote total to about 46.

The Green Party can't afford to lose voters, we should donate and give them as much support as possible in 2004. They need as many Dem votes as possible
