Julian Phillips disgusting comments!

Posted on 10/11/2003 5:47:23 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

We should all e-mail Foxnews about the disgusting comments Julian Phillips made about Rush Limbaugh this morning!

Julian said and is still saying...

"You know I hate to kick somebody when they are down, but it looks as if Rush Limbaugh has been outed as a hypocrite. He is always railing against drug abuse and now he's turned into an abuser himself. I would imagine he will lose many listeners over this."

then Mike Jerrick

"Oh you can bet he's going to lose listeners. He had a full week to come clean with this and it appears..."

Julian jumps in
"Yes Mike I agree with you. It appears he only came clean with this aftr the tabloid story outed him as a drug addict."

Juliet says
"Are you saying you think because he's a Conservative that he's a hypocrite?"

Julian...says
"Well not exactly. Lord knows I don't agree with what Rush Limbaugh says 90% of the time, but I am often weary of pointing out people's weaknesses for fear it will come back and bite you in the butt. I am sure there are plenty of times he has railed and said people should be thrown in jail for using drugs."

Juliet then said that she thought it was good he came clean and then it started all over again with both other man saying they didn't think he had come clean.
Julian then touted himself as a supporter of Tom McClintock, LOL! Geez!

Then once you are done freeping..continue to send Rush your prayers. rush@eibnet.com

Julians bias has been documented time and time again!

I wouldn't mind it so bad...except for the fact that its not an Alan Colmes type of Liberalism where he comes out as a SPONSOR.

Its a Katie Couric type of liberalism where he acts as if he isn't pushing an agenda! When he really is!

Julian is filling the niche he was hired to fill-- he's not conservative. He's supposed to do what he's doing-- "fair and balanced"? It seems to me that it's good to hear "the other side" think out loud so that we know what's going on over there.

He was NOT hired to be the Liberal. If so then he would admit this. He is being touting himself as neutral!!

I understand your anger.

But...

Just as Clinton handed his enemies the ammunition they needed, Limbaugh has exposed a weakness that his enemies will exploit to no end.

Will it ruin him? I doubt it, look at Clinton, and compare the situations.

Will it humble him? It might.

I'm not a big believer in religious spite, but I am a believer in 'lessons in life', and before we go off on a parade to silence every voice with an opinion in this, we ought to look a this situation and quietly reflect to ourselves, "what is the message we ought to be taking from this?"

If you want to know what the other side is saying, head over to DU.

By and large very hateful, with many saying they want Rush to die. Really wierd.

Fox has its fair share of doofi. Shep Smith is a political novice who reads the news well; Greta is quite simply a dingbat in search of a courtroom. O'Reilly has become so shrill that even his family must find him hard to listen to. The early news should be titled "Romper Room". "The Big Story" is hardly that, and only Neil Cavuto and Britt Hume demonstrate real presence.

This may be true. There may well be more to come. It's impossible to say. I love Rush and am heartsick he is having this problem. As far as being outed by the tabloids there is a grain of truth to that too. It would have been much better if he had been able to admit it on his own. That being said Rush will not be the first addict that had to hit bottom before he was able to make changes for himself. He will also not be the first addict to lie about it. It's just the nature of addiction. He is in a good position for recovery since he takes responsibility for it. I think no less of him for being in this position. It is just so very painful to watch

And to be honest, Limbaugh DID break some laws (getting the drugs without a prescription) and must pay the penalty; if the allegations about threats, bribes and payoffs to the housekeeper are true too, then he has to pay for that as well.

God bless the man, I hope he can whip this problem (addiction), and I am sure he will. But we conservatives talk about the importance of the rule of law, and we would be hypocritical if we let Rush slide.

Now according to Drudge and the reporter from the Enquirer that first broke the story, the authorities are really trying to break up this bleack market ring, and are not likely to go after Rush.

I have long since given up on the weekend crew. What a bunch of losers....! I was changing channels last week and didn't see Julian, I thought they finally got the message. Now, he's back.

Though I've been resisting, I have to chime in on this.

So, at the risk of being named troll....

Though I consider myself strongly conservative on most issues, I have never been a fan of Rush. I have listened to the man and find his recent relevations to be slightly humorous but mostly just sad.

I suppose saying so is not the popular position here but considering his strong stance on drug abuse, I have to say, this looks highly hypocritical.

I also wonder about those who seem to blindly accept his drug addiction "because its Rush" and "he's only human" when, if it were someone else, especially someone that was not conservative, he would be quickly condemned.

The left really have no "Rush Limbaugh" to use as an example so it makes the comparison difficult but.., what would you all be saying if it was, say... Dan Rather that had the problem?

There.. I said it. Flame on!

Julian Phillips also attempted to make it look like Rush was helping PUSH the drugs.

Starting that kind of crap doesn't further any type of discussion.

I think there is a difference between getting hooked on drugs that your doctor gives you for back pain...and just deciding one day to take drugs out of the blue sky.
