We need the Red Sox to pick it up...
So we can set up the Highlander Series.
Because...

There's still time, pooh, they can still screw it up.
I've been a Cubs fan for 34 years. Relax.

Without a doubt, that was the most nervewracking game I've seen in a long, long time. Remlinger looked utterly nervous, I thought he was going to have a mental breakdown on the mound. That was some of the ugliest pitching and field play there in that inning. But in the end, my Cubbies won anyway! :-)

*L* I just fired off an email to my husband, his boat just left on 6 month deployment. One of his fellow sonar techs is from Chicago and a HUGE fan of all the sports teams, gotta at least TRY to keep everyone up to date.

The red sox have the Babe Ruth curse. What curse do the Cubs have to overcome?

Go Cubbies! Ping

I'm a little hazy on it, maybe some real hardcore Cub fan can tell us exactly...but it has something to do with a goat.
Seriously.
I'm not kidding...

Grubs need to take it all, so Sosa can move to the AL and DH

I'm still trying to come down from that game. I have an appointment at 8 tomorrow morning, I don't know if I'll get any sleep.
'twas a great game to win.

The Curse of the Billy Goat
During the 1945 World Series, pub owner Bill Sianis bought two tickets and brought his goat to Wrigley Field. They wouldn't let him in with the goat. Sianis put a curse on the Cubs and they went on to lose that World Series and haven't been back since.
Until now. :-)
