It is imperative that they get rid of Rush. He has thwarted them too often, and they know that after this last CA election, they have lost too much power.

They view Rush as a major impediment to getting it back. I always used to be concerned that someone would take a potshot at him or something, they were whipping so much hate up against him lately.

The critical factor is his moral and ethical character...when confronted, how did he handle it?

Did he step up and take responsibility? Did he shirk his duty to his family, community?
