Asner, "We got Rush, Hannity is next."

In the news this week are several reports of an exchange between syndicated talk-show host Mike Gallagher and actor-turned-leftist-poster-child Edward Asner.

The account goes like this: Mike Gallagher approached Asner at a recent cocktail party promoting the new film "Elf" in which Asner stars as Santa Claus. As Gallagher introduced himself, Asner asked his profession. When Gallagher replied "radio talk-show host," Asner replied, "I love going toe-to-toe with you guys.''

''I know,'' Gallagher replied. ''I've heard you on Sean Hannity's show.''

''Hannity's next, you know,'' Asner responded.

Nah - you wouldn't really need that many extras. Use CGI. Maybe Ed has had a break with reality? Wasn't it the anniversary yesterday of the WWII Polish Massacre in the woods somewhere done by you know, the "mis-Understood" Stalin (the man of steal)?

Or as I prefer to phrase it...

Republicans believe it when they see it
Democrats see it when they believe it

As for Asner... folks... don't you think it's just a little -odd- that the Soviet Empire just kinda disappeared all on it's lonesome? Please. You've been fed the propaganda line that communism is "dead", even though the body was never found, and you've completely bought it.

Most of the anti-Iraq war marches were very visibly led by International A.N.S.W.E.R., a front group for the World Worker's Party, which as you might guess from the name is an organization actively advocating Kim Jong Il, Castro, Saddam, etc. Not just saying "Don't hurt them" but "They are better than the U.S.".

Environmentalists? Call them "watermelons"... green on the outside, red on the inside. "Down with the imperialist capitalist pigs threatening the sanctuary of the barn owl!" The jargon doesn't even slightly ring a bell?

Communism never died, it just hid and came back out calling itself "progressive". Communism is a political parasite that utterly used up Russia and East Europe, jumped ship from the host body when it couldn't support it anymore, and jumped ship to Europe and the U.S., where it is actively attempting to infect the organisms. Doing a pretty good job too, since no one with half a brain is paying attention.

Asner certainly is or was a part of it - as are a VERY large number of other Hollywood celebs - and my guess is he was either drunk at that party and screwed up and is probably persona-non-grata now for spilling the beans, or he's become the Left's latest "Fool" (ala Michael Moore) the guy you're supposed to laugh at so you never look at the real threat.

That's my belief anyway. But whadda I know, I'm just a Cuban. Not like we have experience with successful communist insurgencies or anything. Oh, wait...

There is also this to consider: what if, on the one hand, the local DA is a Dem agent working to "bring Rush down" in some sort of fraudulent set-up? or, on the flip side, what if Rush is totally innocent and has been cooperating with the cops as a "front" for their sting.

Asner has long been out of touch with reality.

Well, yes. I couldn't stand to watch him on the Mary Tyler Moore show in the '70s for that reason. But Joseph Stalin???

Don't know for sure but Asner at one time was a card carrying communists, he still might be.

So Ed set Rush up? I wrote this for the bashers and supporters. Asner is a doofus.

Rush to Judgment on Rush

For many years he’s been our voice,
The loudest of us all.
The vipers tout that he has slipped,
But we can’t let him fall.
Let’s wait and see the truth come out,
Before we judge old Rush.
Don’t let the TV vultures turn,
His image into mush.
So send a card or make a call,
To voice your true support.
If he has broken any laws,
He’ll have his day in court.
So let me close with how I feel,
And then I’ll sit back down.
Rush is right and tells the truth,
Unlike that Couric Clown.

"Elf", huh? Asner seems better suited to be playing the supreme commander of ELF. It fits better with his view of the world than playing Santa.

"since no one with half a brain is paying attention."

IMO, the media folks are likely paying attention. I'm sure that they are very aware that the "anti war" movement was primarily a communist effort, financed and organized by communists.

They were all very careful to keep that quiet, which leads inescapably to a conclusion that they are part of it or, at least, strongly sympathetic to it.

"Wow. I am stunned at the last paragraph in the link. "

I'm stunned Asner admitted admiring Stalin. But I'm not stunned that Asner admires Stalin.

This Asner is the biggest moron to ever be spewed out of Hollywood. Just a borderline retard. So anything he says I treat it like I`m listening to a 5 year old, because that`s just about highest mentality he`s ever reached.. if that. He has absolutely no clue about anything in the real world and consistently sticks his foot in his mouth anytime he opens that big yap of his. He`s one of the biggest supporters of that Mumia Abdul Jamal mutt, the cop killer that France, no suprise, recently made an "honorary citizen" of that toilet bowl Paris. I guess garbage sticks together. Mumia who killed PO Danny Faulkner in 1981 in front of no less than FIVE witnesses. But all that is meaningless to this Asner mutt. He`s just a total garbage human being who is the epitome of the Hollywood star who lives in a complete fantasyland and consistently has trouble telling fact from fiction. Yes, Mumia Abu-Jamal, who on Dec. 9 1981, shot P.O.Danny Faulkner a total of five times, including once in the face in front of no less than five witnesses, all of who identified him, including a taxi driver who witnessed the whole thing from beginning to end. If you ever want to get physically ill, read the story about the support this scumbag gets from the usual pigs in Hollywood , how Hollywood is making movie about him, all because they didn`t like the fact that he was sentenced to death...Awww...my heart bleeds! They called the trial "unfair"..Why? because he was convicted? All the support he gets despite the fact that the evidence against this guy is so overwhelming, nothing short of having the entire crime on videotape could a case have been more convincing.

DENIAL OF FACTS- A LIBERAL TRADITION

ED ASNER: "The fact is that no ballistics tests were done, which is pretty stupid."

SAM DONALDSON: "But ballistics tests were done and proved the bullet was fired by a .38-caliber revolver!"

In memory of P.O. Danny Faulkner

1956-1981

Asner IS Joe Stalin. He even buds around with Castro.

Asner is an unapologetic Stalanist, bascially a pig whose dream remains a Socialist Amerika.

He backed Patty Murray's election, and probably others I'm not aware of. But it would be good to list them if anyone else knows.

These people should be known by the company they keep..

I love the way hollywood nitwits refer to people. "Joe" Stalin, like Stalin was just a regular guy down at Cheers??? This familiar usage also is favored by many politicians (actually whores in the case of democrat politicos), especially twits like John Kerrey and "Joe" Lieberman from the east coast. I guess it's their way of signifying for the "little folks" that they, too, are just one of the boys. It really makes me want to puke.

"I think Joe Stalin was a guy that was hugely misunderstood," said Asner. "And to this day, I don't think I have ever seen an adequate job done of telling the story of Joe Stalin, so I guess my answer would have to be Joe Stalin."

Read Solzhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipelago, Mr. Asner. I'm about 130 pages into this book, at the tale end of the chapter discussing interrogations and the various methods of tortures used during them. While the book spans almost four decades of life in Russia, Stalin is repeatedly described in terms usually attributed to a madman.

You are quite right... of course the media is involved. As is academia. How people don't see the obvious link to the Left in america and OUTRIGHT ideological communism is beyond me.

Aren't complete propagandic control of all academia and media the two biggest single tenets of how to control the population expoused in all marxist/communist literature?

Sam gets it, but to the rest of you who "can't believe" Asner admitted to being a Stalinist...

Now look at our media and academia.

Now think about who has convinced you that communism is "dead" and no one really believes in it anymore.

*cough*

I truly fear another revolution in this country. I suspect there are more active communists in this country now (as percentage of the population) than there were in Russia in 1917. I fear 2017.

But then I just get called a paranoid McCarthyite whacko. Of course, who is it that convinced everyone that McCarthy was the root of all evil? Oh yeah... media and academia...

*sighs sadly*

Only thing I think Ann Coulter got wrong in Treason is where she said that the communists eventually were actually extricated from the U.S. government. IMHO, they have done nothing but flourish in our government since McCarthy went down, especially in the State and Treasury departments.

But then, she's probably very well aware of that too, but decided to fight one battle at a time.
