Thanks, but AlAnon is the 12 step recovery program for friends and family members whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking. Alcoholics Anonymous is for the alcoholic.

The alcoholic that qualified me for membership in AlAnon has been clean and sober for 20 years and we have many friends who have been sober for that length of time or longer.

Ooops, sorry, I didn't catch Alanon. The hardest thing I've ever had to do in my adult life was to walk through the door into my first Alanon meeting.

I have a great deal of respect for those that can live a life with someone who has addictive behavior.
