I hope we aren't over run by the "I think he sounds awful, slurring his speech" crowd.

Here's hoping Rush addresses The Frenchman's comment - regarding drug prices - in last night's debate

Has he got a cold, or did he bust a vocal cord choking on his bong? </kidding>
But he does sound like he has a cold or something.

I have no inside skinny on Rush's alleged pill thing, but I think anyone who can lose as much weight as he did can beat any addiction.
Losing substantial weight and keeping it off takes as much will power as beating a chemical dependency. He was able to do that and could beat a pill thing too if he had it.
That is why I thing the allegation is not true.

Here Rush goes again. He is raising the issue of how far the media is willing to go to dredge up stuff from the past and question where else are the rat press acting for DNC.
If I didn't know better, Rush is sending signals like mad to his attackers.

You know, for many years Jerry Lewis was horribly addicted to PERCODAN- he once bragged that he bought them from someone who stole drums of 25,000 tablets from the loading dock of a pharmaceutical manufacturer.
How many people know that Jerry used to take enough PERCODAN to kill the average horse every single day?
Should we care? I do- I am sorry that his addiction ruined his health, and he appears to be in the late stages of kidney and liver failure. This is sad, not funny, and I won't be attacking him here or anywhere else for his problem. (I believe he bercame addicted because of a painful back problem caused by his goofy pratfalls, etc- not recrreationally).
Drug addiction is really a medical problem, and although I'm probably one of the most "conservative" people on this thread, I think it should be treated as such. That includes the privacy restrictions that attend other sorts of serious medical conditions.
Recreational drug use is another story- but the dicussion would take up enough bandwidth to sink FR!

Thanks for the filler, Rush.
I was listening to a bunch of commercials today, and your show accidentally came on.

Wow. I find it truly amazing that he has been able to function as he has while addicted to such a terrible drug. But then again the thing about over a hundred pills a day way probably an out and out lie. Maybe a few at most.
To tell you the truth, I am very shocked by this, but I have no less respect for Rush in any way. He is still a great man and a national treasure. It's not as if he decided to go out on the street and buy narcotics from a dealer. He was prescribed a terribly addictive drug after the back surgery that the doctor botched, and he simply got hooked.
What I truly respect is that he admitted he has a problem and is going to get help. I greatly look forward to more excursions into broadcast excellence in the future!
God bless Mr. Limbaugh. I will certainly pray for this great man.
