So will [he] be be copping a plea to illegally obtaining controlled substances? Will you be swearing out a warrant for his arrest?
That'll give him the chance to do it!

Ok, I was thinking you went to AA on 10/26/30...meaning you'd probably be in your 90's, which case I'd congratulate you on you cyber skills. But at 73 you're still a young pup. I'm a still wet behind the ears 43.

Who besides you said anything about the War On Some Drugs?Don't be so coy. You pinged the WOD list.
While saying nothing about the WOD. I pinged the list because I thought its readers would be interested---that's what ping lists are for.

A side note; Whenever he takes a vacation, something tends to hit the fan. With that in mind, the next month may be a bit bumpy.

Imagine if we all had to face our problems in front of the nation? Consider that. There but for the grace of God ... Prayers for the strength to overcome and return back to us.
Watch who takes advantage of this to tear down the messenger thinking that such a character assassination will kill the message. Think again ...

Don't know. It's more public because he announced it. Would it have been more public had he not announced it? I do not know.
Would he have gone in for a 30 day program, if not fearing the retribution of the law? I am not sure at all. I suppose it is possible, but I see no reason to choose that supposition over any number of other possibilities.

I would hope that at some point he gets the back fixed. If the physical addiction is overcome and the pain is removed, it sure would make his road a bit smoother.

Rehab really doesn't work. He's screwed. Once a junkie, almost always a junkie. I have never been to rehab but I will celebrate 19 years on Sunday by the grace of God

What the pro-drug crowd hates to admit is that drugs are soul destroying, motivation destroying agents. Yeah, we sure saw Rush's motivation go down the tubes over the last few years...
Seriously, give a rest, would you? The time for political points is later, let's try to be supportive of Rush for now.

Michael Medved also on the radio, says he is "reeling."
He could be reeling as KTTH 770AM (the other conservative talk radio station in the Seattle area) obtained the local rights to Rush's show TODAY. Michael quit / was let go from KVI about a year ago.
After being on KVI 570AM for 10+ years the syndicators pulled KVI's license back in June right at the end of their 90 day back out clause after a recently re-signed contract. KTTH has been growing a lot lately, they also took over Michael Savage's show from KVI after KVI dropped it.
However this recent Rush change was done out of spite: KVI picked up the Mariner's broadcast from KTTH's sister station and KTTH wanted blood. They did have Bill O'Reilly on in the 9-12 time slot, not sure if they are going to keep him there or what.

Hopefully Rush will see his way through this and Americans can re-evaluate the Drug War. Is Rush any different than a crack head on the Lower East Side or a junkie in Hell's Kitchen? Since this story broke a week ago, I have been vilified for just suggesting that Rush might have a drug problem, that he might have bought narcotics illegally, that his hearing loss might have been caused by drug abuse, and that his stance in support of the War on Drugs might be hypocritical.
For saying that, posters here have called me a drug addict, a drunk, a liar, and a Democrat.
I wonder if they'll show up to apologize for slandering me now that they have been proven wrong?
Good luck, Rush, and get well soon.
