The head of Cuba's diplomatic mission here, Dagoberto Rodriguez, called on the Bush administration Thursday to "stop acting like a lawless cowboy" and "start listening to the voices of the nations of the world."

I hate this kind of clintonesque pandering. But what must be must be. Cuba will become a democracy as soon as Castro is dead. The better off the the peopple are econmically the easier the transition will be. Making them poorer is just stupid and will be perceived as malicious. If this wins votes in Florida I guess it is for a good cause, but it is the same as slapping tariffs on steel trying to win votes in Penssylvania: Blatant pandering to a specific demographic. I hate when Pubbies are hypocritcal.
