Bush Says No Air Rage on Air Force One By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Filed at 7:16 p.m. ET
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- President Bush came up with a new reason Thursday for riding on Air Force One.
``Not much air rage on Air Force One,'' Bush jokingly told a fund-raising audience as he offered a ride on the presidential plane to Labor Secretary Elaine Chao. The audience seemed baffled by the off-the-cuff remark about angry outbursts on planes.
Bush seemed in a loose mood as he raised money for Rep. Ernie Fletcher, the Republican candidate for governor in Kentucky.
The president noted that his wife, Laura, had recently returned from a trip to Paris where she was kissed on the hand twice by French President Jacques Chirac.
``Now you may have seen the picture,'' Bush said. ``I went to France. I had a nice reception. But I wasn't treated like that.'' The audience got that joke and laughed.

If there is video of these remarks, what do you want to wager the "rats" will produce a commercial with these comments featuring a split screen of a 90 yo granny removing her shoes and being hand frisked at the airport...

We're just pleased George W. took the time to come to Lexington and support Ernie Fletcher in his run for governor.

AP or NYT.....this quote is wrong. I heard it myself on Special Report this afternoon, and though I'm being picky, the last line is not exact. Makes me wonder what other things they get away with "in quotes." How hard is it to transcribe EXACTLY what he said if they bother adding quotes?

Yes should be a big boost for Fletcher. I am looking forward to an authentic conservative Governor who will do much more for Kentucky than the current governor.
