Colorado laws are supposedly the toughest victim protection rules in the nation and as far as I know they are not allowed to get them and previous history is NOT considered. Even if she was a prostitute it could not be mentioned unless relevant to the case. (Now, that's fuzzy memory that I am working here with).

Someone said she was called to the bench or Judge's chambers and afterwards was a little more subdued. Not clear if that was after reciting the victim's name seven times or mentioning the 3 men. Whatever, her tactics were non-professional and obvious and just may backfire.

Don't know if it was rumor but I read it was anal sex thus explaining her position and pain. Did anyone else hear that?

The emotionally/mentally unstable people are most likely to be victims of rape. Their own bad judgment makes them vulnerable to just this kind of attack.

I'd hate to think we are going to start distrusting people because they tried to kill themselves.

Now, if there was information in her health records that she's made unsubstantiated claims before, then I think the defense attorneys would be able to successfully challenge the ruling and the judge would reverse himself.

Okay, I get it now. This is making more sense. Then the "double hearsay" statement they wouldn't allow in must be the girl's statement to the NURSE, not the DETECTIVE, about being forced to kiss you-know-what. (She told this to the nurse at her examination, not the detective while she was being interviewed.)

I heard Dan Abrams on this (this afternoon---I just put on his show that's airing now). He said Bryant told her to go clean up in the bathroom, but it didn't say she did. That wasn't clear to me, but I don't think she did....she just told the detectives that's what he told her to do.

I am getting the picture now that he didn't just "take liberties" or date-rape her. This was a brutal, violent, sadistically degrading rape.
