Reports are she tried to commit suicide.

The emotionally/mentally unstable people are most likely to be victims of rape. Their own bad judgment makes them vulnerable to just this kind of attack.

I'd hate to think we are going to start distrusting people because they tried to kill themselves.

Now, if there was information in her health records that she's made unsubstantiated claims before, then I think the defense attorneys would be able to successfully challenge the ruling and the judge would reverse himself.

Roy Black on MSNBC says he hasn't seen enough physical evidence to prove the case. I believe he was at the hearing today so it gives me pause.

In defense of the prosecutors, another attny is saying that the fact she told someone immediately afterwards is a strong indication it did happen. Jeralyn (take a valium please) Merrit is saying the defense poked a lot of holes in the case however another attny said the blood on her panties (first I've heard this) completely verifies her story. This may also validate toward the anal sex rumor.
