[history]
Los Angeles -- Arnold Schwarzenegger, in his first news conference as governor-elect, said Wednesday that he had given up movie acting as he prepares to take control of the state government and -- without raising taxes -- tackle a budget deficit he said could reach $20 billion.

"The governor-elect said his primary focus would be to repair California's ailing economy. He said he'd make good on a campaign promise to conduct an independent audit to determine waste -- and find possible budget cuts."
This should be fun to watch. An independent audit - who's he going to hire Artur Andersen. I thought the state already had to have one each year. What if they don't find enough waste & fraud to cut - who's he gonna call then?
I'm also sure the dims will just roll over and play dead. Isn't that what we would want every conservative/rep to do if Cruz won the election? Think about it, don't just dream. No self-respecting liberal would/should go along with AS's plans without a least a little giveback on their issues/priorities.
